Making a toy

I took this photo while Elaine was making a kinder surprise toy in the cafe. I must say I'm quite surprised at how these photos turned out. Considering the film cost $1 it isn't all that bad. Friday was quite dull. Nothing really happened until after school when we started doing some filming. Jimmy's bio video is slowly getting better and more crazy. After filming ryan drove me to pmall where we wandered around for a good hour or so looking for a cheap divx dvd player. I finally ended up getting a viewsonic and 2 dvds for 115. Sadly the dvds I received didn't have english subtitles which makes them useless too me. After getting the dvd player we headed back to my house, ate some food, and watched golden boy. Golden boy is by far the funniest anime you will ever see. I recommend it to anyone. Today was quite fun. Started off with Ryan and I going to Best buy to return his philips dvd player. After seeing mine, he wanted to get one with a zoom out feature. So after returning it we went to Oriental centre and walked around for awhile. He ended up getting some soke dvd player with a free dvd for 115. After getting the dvd player he dropped me off at simons and I got a look at his nikon. It has the craziest opening I have ever seen. After seeing what it could do we headed back to my house to take some photos for his physics contest. After taking the photos we walked around woodside for an hour and printed the ones we needed. I didn't develop all the photos, just the ones simon needed. When we got back to my house Edward and I watched Shark Tale, while Simon jimmy ryan nelson played some poker. Not sure who won the most, I know jimmy lost though. After shark tale, Raymond and Philip came over. We all started to watch Fist of fury, but everyone else found it boring so we switched to King Arthur. This movie wasn't much better, I would have preferred fist of fury. After king arthur everyone headed home.

We all started to watch Fist of fury, then we fast foward it and then found the movie interesting, but SOMEONE had to turn it off! I thought King Arthur wasn't that bad, but then Jimmy and friends kept talking! Friends as in everyone I guess haha (including me). I think that the movie Philip had would have been better but we thought that the movie that was at Krishnas house was the same. Also Deng Yee Deng kept laughing and rewinding a scene from the Shark Tale. It wasn't that funny, it was basically the fish guy just doing a dance, but Deng for some reason found it really amusing. And thats the end of that. Also I changed the background and stuff for the blog today when I got home. I felt bored so I changed it. And thats my first post on this blog. All I have to say now is...... AND SCENE!

A tasty cake

This photo was taken at Nelsons semi surprise party. Kingsleys mom makes very very nice looking cakes. I never actually got around to eating the cake though because I am more of a chocolate man. This cake didn't seem to have high chocolate content. However I did hear it was very tasty. Anyways today was quite a dull day. Algeo fully raped me. That test was pure ownage. While writing it I swear it was slapping me. After school we filmed some scenes for the bio video. I see great promise. I won't say much else about it until its fully complete. Now I am going to drown in my sorrows. On a side note I feel the original print looks a lot better then the scanned in version but thats just me though. Shoppers always gives out such low res scans which sucks!

A lady in deep thought

I have finally finished my roll of 800 film. The photos came out moderately grainy, but nothing too bad. I took this photo yesterday during a Formal committee meeting. Since I am so slow at focussing Su stopped smile after a while and started to look at the ceiling which is when I took the photo. It came out really nice in my opinion. Gives the impression she is in very deep thought. A lot of the others photos came out quite nice also. I will post them over the next few days. Today was quite dull. Nothing much happened in Philosophy, except it was frigid cold. Algeo was a bore as always. Lunch was quite nice however. Finally went to Hong Kong express and I was shocked at how good it was compared to everything else in the food court. Also considering its cost it is also very good. After eating I went and picked up some super cheap Likon film from dollarama. Well done Jamil, you found me some very cheap low grade film, and there is nothing wrong with that. Comp sci was pretty fun. Andrew and I were helping Mr. Lopes set up some new Dell computers. Can't wait till they get my computer up and running. The computer I have been using for the last 2 years has sucked, hopefully this one will be better. Now I need to start studying for my algeo ISU test. Accursed Algeo. Worst subject ever. What kind of course has an ISU that is 2 chapters!

Happy Late New Year

Happy New year everyone. I lost my digital camera recently so I don't have any photo's from our actual new years eve bash at ryans, but this will have to do. I took this photo a few weeks back when Edward Jimmy and Karson were working on their health video. On to the new years eve party. Friday started off with Philip Kingsley Daniel Nelson and I going to see Meet the Fockers. It was quite funny. Better then the last few Ben Stiller movies in my opinion. Afterwards we dropped by nelsons to pick up some food for daniel. Nelson had some crazy weight scale that also told you your fat percentage. So I tried it out and I have a whopping 3% body fat. We were all very surprised and found it quite humourous. Afterwards we headed to my house and sat around for a bit trying to find a place to have a new years eve party. My house was unavailable because my brother had already planned something. In the end we went to ryans. Sadly not as many funny things had happened, there was no whooper and there was no bug trap, however it was still very fun. Philip Kingsley Daniel Nelson Jimmy Edward Cheryl and I had all made our way to ryans. There we played some MJ, poker, watched some anime, watched a movie and a bunch of other stuff. I decided to play poker for money against ryan nelson jimmy. Ryan was out very fast. Jimmy was doing surprisingly well, he was up $5 for a good chunk of the game. Nelson was also doing really well, and I was lagging behind for a good chunk of the game. However out of the blue I had a string of awesome hands. I went from around 70 cents to being up 3 dollars by the end. It was quite impressive. In the end jimmy still won the most but it was a very small around, a few dimes I believe. After poker we watched some GTO and Will Ferrel. Jimmy nelson edward and I were sleeping over. When we decided to go to sleep everyone ran to the guest room in the basement. It was quite a funny fighting for the bed. At one point Jimmy took a spare mattress and tried crushing the rest of us. In the end we all eventually fell asleep. Edward moved to the couch and I forgot who was sleeping on the floor. The next day we woke up and got some lunch and called it a day. All in all a great new years. Can't wait till next year

Nelsons Hot pot party

Yesterday we had a big feast at kingsleys to commemorate nelsons birthday. It was suppose to be a surprise but quite poorly planned and executed. In the end we just blind folded nelson and led him into kingsleys basement. Even before entering the basement he knew it was kingsleys house. To top it off Philip says "Happy Quanza man" before the blindfold came off. Everything afterwards went by okay. We gave him this collage and some money. The worst part though was he knew about the collage from a long time back. I had made it and left it in my ftp for people to check out. For some reason I needed to give nelson some stuff so I gave him access to my FTP but I forgot to delete the collage. Needless to say he found the collage, because I called it "Nelson's Collage". What sucked even more was this frame also cut off a bit of the borders. Anyways, the hot pot was wicked. There was tons of food. A bunch of funny stuff had happened. At one point cheryl wanted to propose a toast, and after everyone hit their cups together a bit of someones coke splattered on top of the hot pot. Joanna was like "Let me show you how to break chopsticks" and breaks them very unevenly. I dropped a lot of my food on the table. After all the eating I was surprised that the girls actually cleaned up everything. Like they wouldn't let the guys help which was quite funny. Everyone was in kitchen teasing them and joking about. At one point I was like "Wow this ceiling is low" Then redford being was like "yeah". Then he stands on his tippy toes and touches the ceiling with his head, but then he just totally jumps and rams his head into the ceiling. Funniest thing I had ever seen and heard. What was even crazier was like Jimmy and edward did this RIGHT after seeing redford do it. Ah very good times. After the girls finished cleaning we all played some MJ. Kings brother timmy was very interested in playing so we teamed up and won like twice. His brother was quite annoying but it still went by okay.

A merry merry Christmas

I thought this photo would be nice to post because of the cool christmas hats. I took this photo a while back, not quite sure when. I think it was the week before the break. This christmas was a very good one. I got quite the sum of money, and also some kinder eggs. Nothing wrong with that. Also my uncle had got me a bunch of dvds. I got the best of Will Ferrel from SNL volumes 1 and 2, Peter pan, and starsky and hutch. These may not seem like great choices, but considering the cost it was wicked. Yesterday started off real bad but picked up. My brother Ram had a pot luck of some sort so a bunch of friends had come over. It was very funny hearing my brothers friend Prasana's stories from india. Some of them were very hilarious, some were just downright sad. Today however was a very fun day. Started off with my brothers girlfriend Shima, her brother Ali, and cousin, whose name slips my mind, coming over for a x'mas lunch. This was really nice. Very rare is it that my family sits down and eats together. Also Ali was very funny. The day went by quite well. After they had left I didn't do much else. Sat around and played a lot of star ocean 3. My parents and brothers were planning to go out for dinner at my aunts place. I wasn't too keen on going so I stayed home. So my brothers friend had ordered some chinese food and we ate that for dinner. We talked for quite some time. Singapore has some crazy education system. Comparing it to our education system I found it very strange. Tomorrow is boxing day. Hopefully I will be able to go out and check out a mall, or at least a store.

Crabtree's kid

Since I have been sick for the past few days this post will be quite long. I took this photo last friday while in comp sci. This is one of ms. crabtrees two sons. This is the eldest one. He was super cool, it was a shame I couldn't get a better photo of him. Now to pick up where my blog left off. Sunday night I was struck with one of the most intense headaches ever. The following day it didn't subside. It was pretty bad, and I also got a stiff neck. Tuesday I went to the doctor and she thought I may have meningitis. So she sent me and my parents to the emergency ward. This was the worst part of the day. I was at Scarborough general for the longest time. we got there at 3:00. By 3:45 I had entered some room and was met by a nurse. After saying some stuff she left and it was 4:00. TWO hours later a doctor shows up. He says don't worry its obviously not meningitis. All he said was they were going to do some blood tests to see if there was anything. After he left it was about 6:30. After about 1 or 2 hours I was wheeled out of my room and was given an IV drip. That hurt like crazy! The nurse tried twice but couldn't get a vein. Then some other nurse came and did it. After they got the blood and the saline drip was in me I lay back for about 2 hours. We left the hospital at about 10. Today was nothing spectacular. I saw the doctor again and she said just take some advil. Other then that I have been sitting around at home either sleeping or watching anime. I feel a lot better today, hopefully I will be back to normal by friday.
