Nelsons Hot pot party

Yesterday we had a big feast at kingsleys to commemorate nelsons birthday. It was suppose to be a surprise but quite poorly planned and executed. In the end we just blind folded nelson and led him into kingsleys basement. Even before entering the basement he knew it was kingsleys house. To top it off Philip says "Happy Quanza man" before the blindfold came off. Everything afterwards went by okay. We gave him this collage and some money. The worst part though was he knew about the collage from a long time back. I had made it and left it in my ftp for people to check out. For some reason I needed to give nelson some stuff so I gave him access to my FTP but I forgot to delete the collage. Needless to say he found the collage, because I called it "Nelson's Collage". What sucked even more was this frame also cut off a bit of the borders. Anyways, the hot pot was wicked. There was tons of food. A bunch of funny stuff had happened. At one point cheryl wanted to propose a toast, and after everyone hit their cups together a bit of someones coke splattered on top of the hot pot. Joanna was like "Let me show you how to break chopsticks" and breaks them very unevenly. I dropped a lot of my food on the table. After all the eating I was surprised that the girls actually cleaned up everything. Like they wouldn't let the guys help which was quite funny. Everyone was in kitchen teasing them and joking about. At one point I was like "Wow this ceiling is low" Then redford being was like "yeah". Then he stands on his tippy toes and touches the ceiling with his head, but then he just totally jumps and rams his head into the ceiling. Funniest thing I had ever seen and heard. What was even crazier was like Jimmy and edward did this RIGHT after seeing redford do it. Ah very good times. After the girls finished cleaning we all played some MJ. Kings brother timmy was very interested in playing so we teamed up and won like twice. His brother was quite annoying but it still went by okay.

A merry merry Christmas

I thought this photo would be nice to post because of the cool christmas hats. I took this photo a while back, not quite sure when. I think it was the week before the break. This christmas was a very good one. I got quite the sum of money, and also some kinder eggs. Nothing wrong with that. Also my uncle had got me a bunch of dvds. I got the best of Will Ferrel from SNL volumes 1 and 2, Peter pan, and starsky and hutch. These may not seem like great choices, but considering the cost it was wicked. Yesterday started off real bad but picked up. My brother Ram had a pot luck of some sort so a bunch of friends had come over. It was very funny hearing my brothers friend Prasana's stories from india. Some of them were very hilarious, some were just downright sad. Today however was a very fun day. Started off with my brothers girlfriend Shima, her brother Ali, and cousin, whose name slips my mind, coming over for a x'mas lunch. This was really nice. Very rare is it that my family sits down and eats together. Also Ali was very funny. The day went by quite well. After they had left I didn't do much else. Sat around and played a lot of star ocean 3. My parents and brothers were planning to go out for dinner at my aunts place. I wasn't too keen on going so I stayed home. So my brothers friend had ordered some chinese food and we ate that for dinner. We talked for quite some time. Singapore has some crazy education system. Comparing it to our education system I found it very strange. Tomorrow is boxing day. Hopefully I will be able to go out and check out a mall, or at least a store.

Crabtree's kid

Since I have been sick for the past few days this post will be quite long. I took this photo last friday while in comp sci. This is one of ms. crabtrees two sons. This is the eldest one. He was super cool, it was a shame I couldn't get a better photo of him. Now to pick up where my blog left off. Sunday night I was struck with one of the most intense headaches ever. The following day it didn't subside. It was pretty bad, and I also got a stiff neck. Tuesday I went to the doctor and she thought I may have meningitis. So she sent me and my parents to the emergency ward. This was the worst part of the day. I was at Scarborough general for the longest time. we got there at 3:00. By 3:45 I had entered some room and was met by a nurse. After saying some stuff she left and it was 4:00. TWO hours later a doctor shows up. He says don't worry its obviously not meningitis. All he said was they were going to do some blood tests to see if there was anything. After he left it was about 6:30. After about 1 or 2 hours I was wheeled out of my room and was given an IV drip. That hurt like crazy! The nurse tried twice but couldn't get a vein. Then some other nurse came and did it. After they got the blood and the saline drip was in me I lay back for about 2 hours. We left the hospital at about 10. Today was nothing spectacular. I saw the doctor again and she said just take some advil. Other then that I have been sitting around at home either sleeping or watching anime. I feel a lot better today, hopefully I will be back to normal by friday.

An odd look

I took this photo thursday I believe, when Ath was handing out their grams. Suthakar had a really funny face because he had brought the wrong gram to our class. I was 100% sure he was like "oooooh shizzle". This is probably one of the funniest photo's I have of suth. Now on to my day. It went by pretty good. Nelson came over and we played some Metal gear. Then simon came and we played ffx-2 then ffx. When ryan got here we played prince of persia. The game ain't too bad. Kind of boring at times, but still pretty cool. After a while we went to pmall. I scoured the mall looking for gift ideas. After buying something I saw KD and we each pitched in for a gift. It took quite some time. Neither of us had any clue what to get. In the end I hope it was the right choice. After pmall everyone just went home. I however went to cheryls and played some mj with nelson. After a while kings showed up and we played some more. Today was by far the worst mj day ever. After some mj we played some domino game. That game was mad complex but eventually I got. Its quite fun, and very easy to set up which is wicked. Hopefully tomorrow will as fun filled as today.

A mug like none other

Cheryl got me this mug for x'mas. This is the greatest cup I have ever owned. It tops my childhood mickey mouse cup. After seeing this mug, it reinforces my idea that Winnie the pooh is the greatest cartoon ever made. Today was a pretty fun day. Started off bad, because when I woke up I was super sore. It was a challenge to get out of bed and change. However I did make it too school. After handing in a few assignments, I played some MJ with Aaron, Jess and Kings. Aaron won once, and I was SUPER close to winning the second time. After MJ we went to the talent show. I must say it was phenomenal. Started off with Charlotte, and some other people playing some song, I think it was Ocean Avenue, I'm not up to date with music. Regardless they performed quite well, very nice opening act. After some indian dances, they had these guys play a metallica song, and Jamil, Felix and Simon Ng did their martial arts stuff. Jamil and felix were on fire. They did some really crazy stuff. After some more indian dances this indian guy played some crazy indian drum. The name of the drum slips my mind, something like Tabla. But this guy was CRAZY! He was busting out mad beats, and also playing the thing behind his back and without looking at it. It was quite a site to see. After him was this chinese guy singing a cpop song. Me being a big fan of Canto pop really liked this song. Also the guy did a crazy job singing, it was very nicely done. The last crazy act was Derek. He was playing the bumblebee song (2 Minute music) and he was playing it mad fast. It was crazy! He was fully into it and everything. One of the other cool parts of the talent show was the teachers did some stuff. One thing that pissed me off was they had Mr. Pienkowski come in too solve a problem and they said he got stumped. I was enraged! No one can stump Mr. Pienkowski. The man is a genius! Other then that the entire assembly was very VERY good. Hopefully campbell will have another one.

Chris lying back in the snow

I took this photo today while at the ski trip. The way chris looks in that photo is how I feel right now. I should point out that chris didn't wipe out or anything, this was taken at the bottom of the slope. Him and joyce were a little tired so they wanted to lie down for a bit. Anyways back to the trip. It was amazing. Perhaps the greatest school trip I have been on in a long time. I went for snowboarding and I must say, it was quite difficult. I didn't do too many runs, because for about 40 minutes, me and kingsley were trying to switch to skis. I was perhaps the worst snowboarder there. I am pretty sure my average fall rate was about 5+ falls going down the hill. My wipe out record, wipe out in this case is me like totally flipping over, is about 1 every time going down the hill. Regardless it was so fun. It was also funny wiping out. I can't wait till the next trip, I will probably be doing skiing next time though. Now I need to sit back and relax my legs, tomorrow I may be in crutches after falling on my knees and ass so many times. On a side note, I forgot to thank Yvonne and Jess for giving me christmas cards. I haven't received in christmas card in at least 7 years lol. You two have brought christmas spirit into this dull brown man's heart.

Nelson is Santa

I was planning on posting a photo of nelson as santa but they didn't come out too well. Hopefully the ones on my SLR will come out better. Until then this photo will have to do. I took this photo the same day as this one. Today was pretty fun. Philosophy Courey, Siamak and I presented our metaethical question from yesterday. It went by pretty well, everyone got 5/5, or so he says. In algeo nothing happened, just work period more or less. Lunch however was very fun. Nelson was santa claus so lots of funny pictures. It would be a great shame if they didn't turn out well though. Only time will tell. As for now, I got philosophy to do. Damn ISU. Anyone got any ideas on how to write an essay on "What is democracy?"
